ATTORNEY PROFILE
Larry H. Tatum was raised in DeKalb County, attended Auburn University and has undergraduate degrees from both Carson-Newman and Georgia State Universities. He worked in the private sector for many years before obtaining his law degree from the Georgia State College of Law in 1994. His vast work experience has provided him with a unique insight as well as practical real world knowledge.
While in law school, Mr. Tatum was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award and the West Publishing Award for his excellence in the study of criminal law. He was elected to the Student Bar Association and was a member of Moot Court. He previously worked in the Gwinnett County Solicitor-General's Office.
Since opening his law practice, Mr. Tatum has gained a reputation as a thorough and skilled advocate for his clients. He has been a CLE speaker and has been involved as an attorney-coach in the high school mock trial program. Mr. Tatum has been appointed as a Special Master in bar disciplinary cases by the Georgia Court of Appeals. He is an experienced, trained and respected Guardian ad Litem in both Superior Court and Juvenile Court cases.
Mr. Tatum has been very involved in the community serving as an officer or volunteer in several charitable, social and church related organizations and activities. He served for many years on the Board of Trustees for Annandale Village assisting adults with developmental disabilities.
Mr. Tatum resides in Gwinnett County with his wife and dogs. He enjoys running, golf, outdoor activities, Auburn football, church activities, and taking cruises in his free time. But most importantly, Larry Tatum enjoys the practice of law and getting favorable outcomes for his clients.
